In 2015, an i-LAB prize in category “Emergence” was the beginning of our entrepreneurial journey. Alexander switched full time to Acklio, Laurent obtained some time off for a “scientific contribution” to the startup, and soon Ivaylo and Arun joined the team. 3 years later, we are proud to win the prize in the premier category. It’s a strong recognition of our work to unify, accelerate and secure the LPWAN-IoT. But of course, it’s also a great reward for the work led by our entire team (16 folks today)!

I-Lab is a national prize, awarded by BPI France and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. It promotes the transfer of research results to the business world. Thus, of course, this prize rewards our strong collaboration with IMT Atlantique and the research department “Network Systems, Cyber Security and Digital Law”. As a matter of fact, Acklio is a spin off from this lab, and its technology values 20 years of R&D and 13 theses in networks protocols, architecture and security (read more about us).

For its 20th birthday, the i-LAB jury distinguished 64 “creation and development” winners among 383 candidates. Acklio has been awarded a grant to boost a R&D program dedicated to improve the security of LPWAN IoT solutions.
